Overview
The M545X can truly give access all areas and can be railed and de-railed anywhere on the line and on any gradient due to retaining its spider excavator capabilities. With the M545X it is possible to travel to the work point by rail, de-rail and climb up/down the adjacent bank where the machine can stay for the duration of the works. No third party access is required to railway owned land and no expensive access roads need be built.
With a rated towing capacity of up to 90 tonnes, all equipment and supplies can be delivered by rail to the work site ensuring that costs are kept down and profitability remains high.
Featuring full RCI, Direct Rail Wheel Braking and many other features, the Menzi Muck M545X RRV is compliant with the requirements of the RIS 1530:7.1 standard for On-Track Plant in the UK.
