German-built haulers, forwarders and harvesters since 1967

HSM has built specialised forestry machinery since 1967, starting with the German-market Timberjack and, in 1978, its first own-design hauler — built specifically for the difficult Keuper sites common in German forestry. That practical, terrain-first starting point still shapes the range: haulers, forwarders, harvesters and combination equipment built to work reliably where the ground itself is the obstacle.

HSM builds and tests every machine at its Wolfegg production facility, with narrow bodies and wide tyres that minimise soil impact while keeping the machine agile on skid trails — an ecological and economic balance that matters as much to a contractor’s site access as to the forest itself. The company remains family-owned and privately led, which shows in the modular, customisable approach to specification rather than a fixed catalogue of options.

Exc@v8 is the sole UK and Ireland importer for HSM, supplying new and used machines alongside parts and product support.
