Dynaset HKR Hydraulic Screw Compressor
Dynaset's HKR hydraulic screw compressor turns the hydraulic power of a machine, vehicle or vessel into compressed air for continuous 24/7 use, from 500 to 11,000 l/min at up to 15 bar, with no separate diesel compressor to run.
- Compressed air from the carrier's hydraulics; no separate diesel compressor
- 500 to 11,000 l/min, up to 15 bar
- Built for continuous 24/7 use; idles when no air is drawn
- Cooled through a hydraulic oil heat exchanger, so it fits confined spaces
- Low-pressure hydraulic models available
Overview
Dynaset’s HKR hydraulic screw compressor is a compact, all-in-one unit that produces compressed air from a machine’s, vehicle’s or vessel’s hydraulics. Built for continuous 24/7 use, it replaces a separate diesel compressor on mining machines, drilling rigs, agricultural and construction machines and service vehicles.
Uses
Air flushing, pneumatic tools, sand and soda blasting, repair and cleaning work, pneumatic actuators, cylinders and motors, and brake systems.
How it works
Oil from the carrier’s pressure line drives the compressor’s integrated hydraulic motor, which turns its flow and pressure into compressed air before the oil returns to the tank. An oil heat exchanger passes the compressor’s heat into the carrier’s hydraulic system, so the unit can be fitted in a confined space. It runs at idle when no air is being drawn, and the hydraulic motor keeps operating noise low. Models for low hydraulic pressures are available.
Accessories
- Air cooler and water separator for the HKR 500 to 5000, removing moisture for hand tools, sandblasting and air systems
- Cyclone air filter kit for every HKR, replacing the intake filter for dusty conditions
- Hydraulic oil cooler where excess heat needs removing (4–11 kW cooling capacity)
Choosing a size
The size depends on the air output and pressure you need and the oil flow the carrier can supply. The table lists every model’s air output and pressure, the oil flow and pressure it needs, size and weight.
Sizes in this range
| Designation | Air output max. (l/min) | Air pressure max. (bar) | Oil flow at max. output (l/min) | Oil pressure at nominal flow (bar) | L × W × H (mm) | Weight (kg) |
