Schlang & Reichart Crane Trailer 80.13
The Crane Trailer 80.13 is a tandem three-way tipping trailer with its own loading crane, for bulk materials, plant and general loads, and it's approved for 80 km/h. Because the crane sits on the trailer, not on the vehicle pulling it, your Unimog, high-speed tractor or truck keeps its full payload and stays free for other work, summer and winter.

Who it’s for
Schlang & Reichart built the 80.13 for teams that get a lot done with a small crew and a tight budget: council depots, parks and grounds maintenance teams, cemetery and garden departments, and landscaping contractors. One trailer carries bulk materials, plant and general loads, and its crane loads branches, cuttings and timber, all year round. It’s also part of Schlang & Reichart’s Unimog programme.

The tipping trailer
The crane sits on a sturdy chassis proven in forestry work: a double frame of fine-grain structural steel, made from two multi-folded tubes that also hold a pair of aluminium loading ramps. The 4,500 × 2,200 mm body tips three ways. Side extensions add height in 50 cm steps, and stakes slot into the body when you’re carrying branches or logs.
The hydraulic steering drawbar has a tight steering angle, so the trailer is easy to manoeuvre in narrow streets. Two cylinders on the drawbar, worked from the towing vehicle, keep it under control when you slew the crane uphill with a loaded body.

On the road
The 80.13 is approved for 80 km/h as standard. On public roads it can weigh up to 13,000 kg in total, and off them it carries 12,000 kg of payload. Dual-line air brakes work on all four wheels, backed by ABS, automatic load-sensing braking (ALB) and a spring-brake parking brake, and the LED road lights are built into the frame.

The loading crane
Schlang & Reichart builds its cranes from tough special steel to crane load class B4, for continuous dynamic loading. Every crane is delivered with a crane test book and an initial inspection by a crane expert, under the rules of the German Social Accident Insurance (DGUV).
The standard crane is the Z4359, a Z-crane with 5,700 mm of reach and a net lifting moment of 40.5 kNm, which folds away neatly for the road with the body loaded. For more reach there are the Z5376 (7,600 mm) and Z5388 (8,800 mm), or you can choose an L-crane with S&R’s Power-Link toggle linkage between the main and knuckle booms, which speeds the work up. The four-cylinder slewing gear, with widely spaced bearings running in oil, gives 15.2 kNm of slewing torque through 370°, enough to load comfortably uphill.
Telescopic A-frame outriggers let you set up safely in tight spots and on slopes, and because they don’t spread far, working at the roadside is straightforward. The trailer also has a hydraulic support leg. The operator runs the crane by radio through Danfoss EHC control, from wherever gives the best view of the load.

Grabs and tools
The crane comes with a two-shell grab, which takes extra shells for loose bulk material. A four-finger grab makes loading branches and cuttings much easier, and the tool quick changer lets you fit other tools, such as an earth grab.
