The HSM 405 is an eight-wheel forestry harvester in three versions, the H2, H3 and H4, with a Volvo Penta engine of 210 or 250 kW, a load-sensing hydraulic system and a choice of Mesera, Epsilon or HSM crane.

One drivetrain across the range
The H2, H3 and H4 share a hydrostatic-mechanical drive with a NAF 2-speed transfer gearbox, balanced portal tandem axles with 100% selectable differential locks front and rear, and articulated steering with a 50° steering angle.

A tested, adjustable safety cab
The cab is ROPS, FOPS and OPS tested and height-adjustable at the front and rear, with air conditioning and auxiliary heating that preheats the hydraulic oil. A rotating cab, turning through 270°, is an option.
