Highway

Highways teams and contractors deal with two recurring problems: verges that creep over the road edge and block drainage, and roads, tracks and paths that need building or resurfacing without hauling aggregate in and spoil out. Both are handled by tractor- and carrier-mounted equipment rather than full road plant. The machine types are stone-milling verge cutters, which mill the built-up verge back to the drainage line rather than just mowing it, and the four-stage in-place system: a ripper to break up the existing ground, a stone crusher to process it into aggregate, a grader to shape it and a compactor to finish the surface.

Exc@v8 supplies PTH’s verge cutters, crushers, rippers, graders and compactors, and Pfanzelt’s implement carriers for municipal work. Tell us the job and we’ll match the machine to it.
