Overview
The A-Lock is Wimmer’s hydraulic quick coupler system for excavators. Wimmer introduced the A-Lock in 1985, under company founder Alois Wimmer, as the first hydraulic quick coupler system on the market. It is offered in three versions and three weight classes. Exc@v8 supplies Wimmer in the UK.
Three versions
A-Lock mechanical is for excavators without hydraulics on the boom. It is simple mechanics for a quick tool change, and it can be converted to the hydraulic A-Lock Compact Plus.
A-Lock compact is operated with two hands, with audible and visual locking control. It has only one moving part, for maximum safety and reliability.
A-Lock Tunnel has a sealed excavator mount, with the same two-handed operation and audible and visual locking control. Wimmer’s A-Lock data sheet, available to download below, covers the tunnel couplers.
Certification
The compact and tunnel versions are certified by SUVA and comply with SUVA type examination certificate no. E 7264.
