Konrad E-Liner EL40-2 Carriage
The Konrad E-Liner EL40-2 is an electric carriage for cable crane systems, with a 40 kN payload and an electric spool-out drive powered by capacitors that recharge as loads are hauled in, so it needs no fuel and no battery changes.
- 40 kN payload, 790 kg
- Electric spool-out support, 2–5 kN at up to 2.2 m/s
- High-power capacitors, recharged during haul-in
- For skylines of 18–22 mm and main lines of 11–12 mm
- Uphill and downhill operation

Overview
The E-Liner EL40-2 combines Konrad’s experience in building cable crane systems with electronic control. It runs on temperature-insensitive high-power capacitors and an electric motor-generator (a torque motor) that charges as loads are hauled in, so there are no battery changes, no fuel and no engine noise, and maintenance is low. It works uphill and downhill.
Rope clamps and saddle crossings
Konrad’s rope clamps switch quickly and securely, with clamping jaws that protect the skyline and the main line. The anti-derailment guard is slim, for smooth and safe saddle crossings; a mechanical lock is also possible.
Radio remote control
The remote control has a display showing the radio frequency and signal strength, and every setting can be made from it. It works with Konrad machines on KFS-16.
Exc@v8 supplies and supports Konrad cable crane equipment in the UK and Ireland.
