Steep-terrain forestry, engineered from the ground up
Konrad Forsttechnik is a family-owned Austrian company based in Preitenegg, building forestry machinery for timber harvesting on steep, challenging and hard-to-access terrain. It exports more than 60% of its production, its machines work in more than 30 countries, and almost everything is made in-house, which keeps quality and innovation under the company’s own control rather than a supply chain’s.
The range covers harvesters, Woody harvester heads, tower yarders and carriages, each built around the same problem: getting timber off ground a conventional machine can’t safely work.
Exc@v8 is Konrad’s sole importer across the UK and Ireland, supplying the full range alongside after-sales service, support and parts.
