Lineside vegetation doesn’t stay beside the track. It grows up cuttings and down embankments, where a conventional road-rail machine can only reach from the rails, and a possession leaves no time to bring in a second machine for the slope. Clearing it takes a machine that can get on the track, work from it, then climb off onto the embankment, carrying rail-gauge mulchers, shears or grapple saws for the cutting.
Exc@v8 supplies Menzi Muck’s road-rail walking excavators, and the 65RD RRV dumper for moving material along the line, and builds custom rail conversions in-house.

65RD RRV
The 65RD RRV is the road-rail version of the 65RD, Menzi Muck's 65RD RR: an 8,100 kg dumper carrying 4,200–6,300 kg, with hydraulic drive on the rail and the same hydraulically rotatable cab as the 65RD.
