Konrad Highlander Harvester

Konrad Highlander Harvester

The Konrad Highlander is a wheel harvester developed for steep terrain, working where other harvesters give way to cable cranes, in two versions: the four-wheel HL10-2 and the six-wheel HL20-2, both with a 212 kW FPT engine and a Woody harvester head.

Konrad HL10-2

The four-wheel Highlander, as suited to thinning as to final felling: a short wheelbase with two-wheel, four-wheel and crab steering, and four-wheel drive with an engageable hydraulic differential lock.

Konrad HL20-2

The six-wheel Highlander, mainly for medium to big timber: a portal tandem axle at the front, a balanced weight distribution for lower ground pressure on soft ground, and 272 kN of pulling force.

Konrad Woody WH60-1 harvester head processing a log

Harvester heads

Both Highlanders work with Konrad’s own Woody harvester heads: the Woody WH50-1 or the Woody WH60-1. The crane and the cab turn together, endlessly, on the slewing ring.

Built for steep ground

The Highlander climbs and drives with a synchronised stepping and driving motion, and automatic level compensation keeps the machine stable and its slewing moment constant on the slope. The HL20-2 adds telescopic extension feet. The TW90-1 traction winch, an option integrated in the machine, supports driving on steep terrain and can also be used as a rigging winch.
