Felling and dismantling
The D1244 is designed for felling and dismantling trees in forests, in urban areas and on difficult ground, with a clean, fast and safe cut. Its double clamp lets it cut trees in any position and keeps a secure hold on the timber, which limits unnecessary movements, reduces the risk of uncontrolled dismantling and improves productivity on site. A speed valve and a specific blade geometry give fast, precise cuts, and the head is narrow, so it can reach the branch you want during dismantling.
Weight and fit
At 800 kg the D1244 is light for its cutting capacity, which helps the stability and manoeuvrability of the carrier, and it is built from high-quality materials for intensive use. It is compatible with machines from 12 to 18 tonnes.
Options
- The 360° rotation (optional) is fixed at the rear of the head, so the D1244 can be used as a cutting grapple for handling, cutting and clearing trunks after they have been put on the ground.
- A support foot (adding 150 kg) is available for spider excavators, to optimise performance and adapt the head to the terrain.
