Overview
The Seve MT is an ultra-lightweight mulcher designed for rail and motorway work. It combines a simple design, light weight, sturdiness and high performance for shredding wood, coppice, grass and stumps, and fits road-rail or self-propelled hydrostatic brushcutters. Exc@v8 is the sole UK importer of Seve.
Built for rail and motorway work
With a cutting width of 1,000 or 1,250 mm, the MT shreds quickly and cleanly. Its light, sturdy structure makes it easy to fit to rail-mounted or self-propelled brushcutters, and it is built to last in demanding conditions. It shreds both soft and hard wood. The MT 125 U version is designed to fit the Menzi Muck M585.
Frame, rotor and drive
The frame has a honeycomb design with a standard wear plate that is easy to replace, which helps it last and resist wear. The 125 cm light rotor has 21 solid bodies fitted with S6 carbide-tipped hammers, designed to shred all types of vegetation while limiting maintenance costs and the risk of breakage. The rotor has a triple inverted helical profile, a belt drive turns it, and the bearings have double protection against wire.
S6 hammers
The S6 hammer systems use an assembly concept designed to cut maintenance time, with a simpler assembly system and fewer interventions, so the machine is available more of the time. The ergonomic design makes the operator interface safer and maintenance easier, and the clean, precise cut limits hydraulic overheating and damage to the system. The carbide-tipped hammers resist impact and wear for longer, are designed not to break, and have an optimised cutting edge.
Standard equipment
Every MT has an integrated spray hood, an interchangeable wear plate, double protection for the bearings against wire, and a synchronous belt drive.
Hydraulics
The MT runs at 220 to 420 bar with a flow of 45 to 180 l/min, and shreds material from 1 to 250 mm in diameter.
Options
Options let the mulcher be fitted to the work: the rotor opening to the left or right; a choice of hydraulic motor from 41 to 90 cm³; the working width, 100 or 125 cm; steel or carbide-tipped knives; an anti-cavitation valve that protects the hydraulic motor in a sudden stop; a made-to-measure mounting plate and hydraulic hoses; 360° rotation; and a left-right tilt for adjusting the working angle. It can be supplied ready to fit.
