The Seve MFL is a lightweight forestry mulcher with a fixed-hammer rotor for hydraulic excavators from 8.5 to 15 tonnes, shredding grass, brambles and wood up to 350 mm in diameter, in 1.0, 1.25 and 1.5 m widths.

Overview
The Seve MFL is a forestry mulcher for hydraulic excavators from 8.5 to 15 tonnes, balancing lightness, robustness and power. It handles grass, brambles and trees up to 350 mm in diameter, which suits brushcutting, forestry maintenance and shredding dense material. Exc@v8 is the sole UK importer of Seve.
Light on the excavator
The MFL has an optimised, lightweight chassis that reduces mechanical stress on the excavator while still giving strong crushing performance. The robust design works on flat ground as well as on uneven or hard-to-reach terrain.
Rotor and drive
The rotor has a triple inverted helical profile, which improves shredding efficiency and reduces the number of passes needed. Single-profile hammers cut cleanly and evenly through every type of vegetation, and a direct drive through a flector coupling transmits power without loss.
Standard equipment
Every MFL has an integrated spray hood to protect the operator and the working area, and an interchangeable wear plate for a longer life. The bearings have double protection against wire and other debris, and the direct drive improves responsiveness and reduces wear on components.
Hydraulics
The MFL runs at 200 to 420 bar with a flow of 80 to 170 l/min, which suits forestry and agricultural professionals.

Options let the mulcher be fitted to the work:
- A 60° tilt for better manoeuvrability on slopes

Choosing a width
The MFL comes in three widths: 1.0 m, 1.25 m and 1.5 m (the MFL/100, MFL/125 and MFL/150). All three run at 200 to 420 bar and 80 to 170 l/min, suit excavators of 8.5 to 15 tonnes and mulch to a maximum diameter of 350 mm. The wider the head, the heavier it is (600, 650 or 700 kg).
