The Seve MFHL is the lightest mulcher in Seve's range, for mini-excavators from 2.5 to 5.5 tonnes, shredding grass, brambles and wood up to 150 mm in diameter, in 0.95, 1.25 and 1.5 m widths.

Overview
The Seve MFHL is a forestry mulcher for mini-excavators from 2.5 to 5.5 tonnes, combining lightness, robustness and precision. It is the lightest mulcher in Seve’s range, and is made for mowing, removing brambles and shredding trees up to 150 mm in diameter. Exc@v8 is the sole UK importer of Seve.
Easy to fit and use
The reinforced frame means the MFHL can be used without any hydraulic modification of the excavator, and it is easy to install and intuitive to use. Its light structure makes it easy to manoeuvre and reduces the wear on the carrier machine’s load-bearing parts, while limiting energy consumption.
Rotor and drive
The rotor has a triple inverted helical profile, which makes the most of the grinding capacity while reducing wear on the housing. Single-profile hammers give a clean, even cut, and a V-belt drive transmits power smoothly and reliably.
Standard equipment
Every MFHL has an integrated spray hood to protect the operator and the working area, an interchangeable wear plate for a longer life, double protection for the bearings against wire and other obstacles, and a robust transmission for long life and stability.
Hydraulics
The MFHL runs at 150 to 350 bar with a flow of 20 to 65 l/min, to suit professional brushcutters and foresters.
Options
Options let the mulcher be fitted to the work:
- A 60° tilt for precise work on slopes
- The rotor opening to the left or right
- Carbide-tipped or sharp steel hammers, depending on the vegetation
- A support foot with integrated clamp for stability and control
- An adjustable projection flap to control the direction of debris
- An anti-cavitation valve
- A motor without drain
- A choice of hydraulic motor from 12 to 41 cm³
- Made-to-measure hydraulic hoses and mounting plate
It can be supplied ready to fit to the excavator.
Mulching in place
Mulching plant waste where it falls reduces nuisance and helps preserve the environment, and returns nutrients to the soil.
Choosing a width
The MFHL comes in three widths: 0.95 m, 1.25 m and 1.5 m (the MFHL/100, MFHL/125 and MFHL/150). All three run at 150 to 350 bar and 20 to 65 l/min, suit excavators of 2.5 to 5.5 tonnes and mulch to a maximum diameter of 150 mm. The wider the head, the more hammers it carries (15, 21 or 27) and the heavier it is (240, 280 or 320 kg). The figures in the table below are for the machine without options.
