The first of several second-generation M-Series Menzi Muck machines has arrived in the UK and is now out at work.
The new and improved M5 machines now feature lift capacities of 9,400 kg, even higher Powerline flows of 220 l/min, Tier 4 Final-compliant engines and a host of other refinements.
This Menzi Muck M545 is already clocking many hours with a large highways and rail contractor, predominantly working with a SEVE D1244 tree shear and various other specialist attachments.
The contractor notes that with the Menzi Muck he is able to not only significantly increase jobsite efficiency, but also take on workloads that can’t be carried out with standard excavators — rapidly reducing costs for local authorities and major tendering contractors.
