Waterways and specialist construction contractor D G Mills Ltd have opted to add Menzi Muck from Exc@v8 to their diverse plant fleet, working on waterways, stabilisation and piling projects throughout the UK.
Mills chose the Menzi Muck A91 Powerline machine for its enormous power-to-weight ratio, superior hydraulic flows and pressures, and its incredibly compact minimum dimensions, which allow access to worksites not normally reachable with a conventional excavator.
The Menzi Muck’s ability to work ‘cross-carriage’ on steps, revetments and slopes was also a key factor in the decision, along with its ability to carry large and heavy tools such as side-grip piling attachments and four-tonne drill rigs. Coupled with an Engcon tiltrotator, the A91 has a huge workload ahead on national contracts.
