Pfanzelt Quick-Fit and Fixed Cable Winches
Pfanzelt's quick-fit and fixed cable winches are geared winches for commercial timber forwarding, mounted with their sprag bearing on one frame so the tractor carries little of the strain, in single-drum and double-drum sizes up to 2 × 80 kN.

Overview
Pfanzelt’s quick-fit and fixed cable winches are built for commercial timber forwarding. The cable winch and the sprag bearing are mounted on one frame, so the tractor stays largely free of mechanical strain while winching. The winches are a modular system that adapts to almost all common tractor types, with a choice of pulling forces, stacking shield widths and cable capacities.
Installation and removal
A quick-fit winch, or a combination of winch and loading crane, can be mounted or removed in a matter of minutes, so the tractor is free for other work at short notice. The winch sits in a good position even with a power hitch fitted, and the sprag bearing has a large lift height, optionally with an automatic trailer coupling.
Drive and control
Power is transmitted through helical and worm gears running in an oil bath, and the cable infeed is adjustable, mechanically or hydraulically. The winches have an independent oil supply via a radial piston pump, a self-adjusting multi-disc coupling in sintered metal, a multi-disc brake, and the HBC patrol forest radio system as standard, with the other technical features of Pfanzelt’s geared winches.
